Yakima Valley Home
I graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1990, with a belief that anything is possible because of learning to work hard. I worked construction, or agriculture occupations at various times in my youth. As a student athlete at Yakima Valley Community College, I realized that I must focus diligently on my studies with the same passion of playing baseball. I learned much from Coach Bob Garretson, “ It is better to win as a team; than being an All-Star for a losing team”. I was also voted Ebony Senate Representative, were my understanding of justice and civil rights, greatly impactful in my life. With the diversity of our community it is better to inclusive to all people because that makes us stronger together in unity.
